Assistant Credit Control Manager circa 28k

Circa £28,000 plus 10% Bonus

Our client, a successful Recruitment Consultancy is looking for an Assistant Credit Control Manager to join their large, friendly, team oriented Credit Control team on a permanent basis. The Assistant Credit Control Manager will lead a Team and control and reduce outstanding debtor balances to achieve monthly targets.

The Assistant Credit Control Manager's duties:

Review and monitor the Credit Control team's activity to ensure objectives and targets are met regarding cash collection and allocation
Prepare and monitor forecasts of incoming cash in conjunction with Credit Manager and provide accurate and relevant information as input to sound decision making
Conduct regular team meetings, 1-2-1's and performance appraisals where required, and provide new and existing team members with training, guidance, coaching and development for them to perform their roles successfully
Be the escalation point of difficult queries or problems and identify potential key issues and risks and escalate to management
Ensure team members understand and apply company & statutory procedures
Credit checking
Proactively review accounts with historical debt and work alongside credit control / sales to provide solutions and recover outstanding debt
Proactively review and monitor process / procedures and with management approval implement improvements were possible
Create & develop effective working relationships with key internal and external customers
Adopt & demonstrate the company's core values in the delivery of a customer-focused service
Reduction of over 60 day debt
Reduction of DSO
Management of cash and credits
Achievement of cash collection targets
Staff development

The Assistant Credit Control Manager will:

Be ICM accredited or studying for ICM qualification
Have strong systems knowledge, preferably AS400, CODA, Credica
Have previous Team Leader level experience within credit control
Be able to demonstrate ability to find solutions to business challenges
Ideally have a recruitment consultancy credit control background
