Our Client, an award winning Financial Consultancy requires a Regulatory Accountant to ensure the accurate, timely and appropriate provision of the groups regulatory reporting.
The Regulatory Accountant's duties:
To take responsibility for the control and maintenance of the Finance Risk register, ensuring that it is kept update and relevant at all times
To be the finance representative on the annual IFRS7 group-reporting project, ensuring that the project delivers on time and on budget
To work with colleagues in the Finance Department towards achieving optimal solutions to any issues in relation to the group's financial accounting, statutory reporting forecasting and funding.
To plan and implement, or assist with, any projects in relation to the financial control management of the group.
To make recommendations on changes to systems and procedures, that will lead to increased efficiency and thereby be of benefit to the group.
Ensure that all matters raised by audit, external audit, and risk are dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner
The Regulatory Accountant will:
Be a Qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
Have experienced in preparing regulatory returns (both solo and consolidated)
Have experience and knowledge of IFRS
Have experience of managing and motivating staff
Acts as a role model to others
Communicate business goals in a way which motivates others
Be an efficient problem solver
Be able to deal with staff at all levels
Need to enjoy working in a strong team utilising support from colleagues when necessary
