The Commercial Finance Analyst is responsible for delivering effective financial management and commercial support on all business activities across the UK and Ireland operation.
The duties of Commercial Finance Analyst:
Provide financial leadership and business acumen in the profitable development of the UK and Ireland business
Be a trusted advisor to the Divisional Sales Directors and the respective business unit managers that report into the Divisional Directors
Be the business owner of all forecasting, budgeting, targeting and strategic planning for their assigned UK teams and be a thought leader on these initiatives
You will be continually reinventing best practice procedures to roll out to the rest of the group
Be responsible for ad hoc and routine business analysis including but not limited to cost analysis, internal/external benchmarking, remuneration planning, pricing analysis for prospective tenders, competitor analysis, acquisition appraisal, contract negotiation/review, new market evaluation, deal shaping, business integration, customer profitability analysis etc. for the UK and Ireland business and as required on an ad hoc basis for other business areas
Be responsible for providing regular monthly reviews of all business operations at a business unit and Divisional level.
Act as an interface/conduit between the operational finance department and the sales organisation looking to resolve issues that may arise between front and back office
Be responsible for driving through key initiatives and undertaking ad hoc projects as advised by the board and senior management team using their influencing skills/financial expertise
The Commercial Finance Analyst will:
Be a Qualified accountant with post qualification experience
Have a strong academic background
Have a proven track record of enhancing profitability across business units
Have strong analytical, logical and detailed approach to work and resolution of issues
Possess superb organisational, planning and project management abilities
Thrive in a fast-paced team environment, effectively manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Have the ability to create strong working relationships
Work in a team environment that spans different countries and cultures
Be a clear and effective communicator/presenter
Be willing to travel when required within the UK
