Assistant Accountant 40k

Do you have a background working for a high net worth individual or individuals in a family/private office? If so, we want to hear from you

The duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:

Processing monthly payrolls through the BACS systems
Reconciling PAYE and NIC accounts
Pension administration
Production of end of year returns, P11D's, P14's, P60's, P35's
Dealing with the day to day running of BUPA and other schemes
Day to day entries for the trusts, investments and personal ledgers
Responsibility for nominal ledger maintenance for companies, trusts and personal ledgers
Staff expense claims
Preparing BACS and cheque payments for supplier Invoices and staff expenses
Dealing with supplier queries
Assisting with the preparation of reports
Upkeep of various bank accounts for the various company, trust and personal entities
Foreign transfers and setting up of standing orders and direct debits
Bank reconciliations for all accounts
Placing and monitoring of Treasury deposits
Maintaining cash books and cash book entries in the Nominal ledgers
Liaise with other members of finance team each week for cash management
Central contact point for all bank enquiries
Responsible for the recording of transactions and maintenance of offshore bank accounts
Currency conversion and entry into sterling nominal ledger, reconciliations and calculation of exchange differences in the sterling ledger
Responsible for the upkeep of the investment ledger system entries
Reconciliation of these to the respective nominal ledgers

You do not require an accountancy qualification for this role, but a stable, consistent job history is a must, combined with experience of having worked for a high net worth individual or family.
