Finance Assistant 25k - 30k

Our Client, a National Children's Charity, requires a strong Finance Assistant to maintain balance sheet controls and assist with efficient processing of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

The Finance Assistants duties:

Basic month end reconciliations for all entities
Processing of:
Supplier invoices involving direct debits, standing orders, CHAPS and foreign payments within the Society's terms and conditions
Internal charges including central recharge allocations
Correction journals
Assist with BACS/cheque run payment process
Performing credit control, cash collection and sales invoice checks
Supplier statement reconciliations for key suppliers
Rental income control checks and processing
Responding to and resolving queries from internal and external customers and suppliers
Provide cover for ledger clerks and support during periods of high processing volumes
Support month end and year-end close processes as necessary
Assist management with various ad-hoc tasks and administrative duties where necessary

The Finance Assistant will have:

Experience in sales or purchase ledger processing
A levels or equivalent experience or; GCSE Maths and English grade C or above
Computer based ledger input - knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics desirable but not a requirement
Knowledge of BACS payment operation
High degree of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
